/run/lvm/lvmetad.socket: connect failed

Running grub-mkconfig I had the follow result:

[[email protected] /]# grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Generating grub configuration file ...
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-linux
Found initrd image: /boot/initramfs-linux.img
Found fallback initramfs image: /boot/initramfs-linux-fallback.img
/run/lvm/lvmetad.socket: connect failed: No such file or directory
WARNING: Failed to connect to lvmetad. Falling back to internal scanning.
done

As reported here, it is a bug which fixing is in progress. Until the fix of the issue, a possible solution ( thanks to antonio ) is to disable the submenus in GRUB editing /etc/default/grub:

echo GRUB_DISABLE_SUBMENU=y >> /etc/default/grub

then relaunch grub-mkconfig and hopefully you will have no warnings anymore:

[[email protected] /]# grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Generating grub configuration file ...
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-linux
Found initrd image: /boot/initramfs-linux.img
Found fallback initramfs image: /boot/initramfs-linux-
done

That`s all guys, GWH!
