netctl service ([email protected]***.service) failed because the control process exited with error code.

Hello everybody!
I tried a quiet strange experience today, my laptop did the opposite of what I wanted!! Why? I don’t know, but can be maybe useful to somebody else.

I opened the terminal on my Arch Linux system and tried to find out available WiFi networks:

[[email protected] ~]$ sudo wifi-menu

wifi

My laptop return to me the following phrase:

Job for [email protected]\x2dMobile\x20HotSpot.service failed because the control process exited with error code.
See “systemctl status “[email protected]\\x2dMobile\\x20HotSpot.service”” and “journalctl -xe” for details.

So I remembered that last time I was using the LAN, no worries..disable the enp0s25 device and enable the wlp3s0 device:

[[email protected] ~]$ sudo ip link set enp0s25 down
[[email protected] ~]$ sudo ip link set wlp3s0 up

After that I tried again if sudo wifi-menu worked well..WTF! It still didn’t work!!!

– SOLUTION –

After some research on Web I tried to do the opposite of what I though before, so I tried to disable the device:

[[email protected] ~]$ sudo ip link set wlp3s0 down

Re-launching the sudo wifi-menu command everything worked in the normal perfect way!

Why? I still don’t know but when I will have time I will try to figure out!! If someone wants to help me, just write a comment to this post!

Thanks to all! #gwh
